Wheeler Heights House

This project involves Alterations and Additions to a small existing 1960's house. The existing single level house is very dark as it has no north facing windows in any living spaces and a three storey house immediately up slope to the north of it. The client wanted to utilise an existing unused underfloor garage as a new living space, as well as providing new car parking at ground floor level and a new first floor addition. The brief was to get more natural light into the house and also make the most of the west facing views across the valley and the hills around Narrabeen Lake. A new stair/lightwell on the north western corner of the house brings natural light into three levels of the house - a contrast to the existing conditions. The project has just passed DA with Council and Construction Certificate drawings are being prepared.
